Celtic v Norwich City: team news, KO time and where to watch

Celtic take on Norwich City at Celtic Park the afternoon in the last pre-season fixture of the summer before the serious business gets underway a week tomorrow with the Scottish Premiership visit from Aberdeen for Flag Day in Paradise.

Norwich City will be looking to dust themselves down after relegation from the Premier League last season and will provide Ange Postecoglou’s side with another stern test in what should be a busy and atmospheric Celtic Park.

We might even get the chance to see former Celtic striker Teemu Pukki who has had a tremendous career at Norwich after failing to show his best while wearing the Hoops.

Team News

Giorgos Giakoumakis is back in the squad after after a short absence relating to his wife going into labour. Congratulations to the Giakoumakis on their new arrival. Added to the squad today will be the two new signings Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jenz but it’s likely that they’ll be introduced to the support rather than actually taking part, and if that happens it will be from the bench.

It’s likely that the starting eleven will closely resemble the team that will line-up next weekend against Aberdeen, although with Carl Starfelt still recovering from the injury picked up in June playing for Sweden, it’s likely that Stephen Welsh will start both today and next Sunday.

A likely starting team today could look like this…

Hart, Juranovic, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Taylor, McGregor, Hatate, O’Riley, Abada, Kyogo and Jota with plenty of options on the bench from the usual second half shuffle.

Kick-off Time

Today’s Celtic v Norwich City game at kicks off at 3pm (Celtic Park Time).

Where to Watch

Season ticket holders will of course be at Paradise unless holidays clash etc. For this not able to get to Celtic Park the afternoon the following options are available.

Subscribers will be able to watch the game on Celtic TV. Alternatively the match is also being shown live on Premier Sports, again a subscription is required.
