Jota at it again – Portuguese trickster ripping another English team’s full-back

Celtic’s superstar from Portugual, Jota, has been at it again today against English Championship side Norwich City. After his cheeky chip versus the Canaries fellow Championship club Blackburn Rovers last week, he decided to turn on the style once more with his audacious skills and irresistible footwork.

The former Benfica player has that certain je ne sais quoi that elicites sheer delight and pandemonium with every touch of the football. Last season we had a taster of what the silky winger could do as he turned defences in Scotland and Europe inside out for the duration of the campaign.

His miss due to a hamstring injury suffered against Hearts in December was telling, as we struggled to adequately replace or bridge the gap in quality and his unique skill set. Jota is a window back to the old days of out and out wingers like Jimmy Johnstone, Stanley Matthews and others who graced the game as sheer entertainers.

His latest piece of magic is enough to make your heart go oh, oh, oh…

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
