Ismaila Soro looks set to finally end his Celtic Park stay and move to Valenciennes it is being reported tonight. The Ivorian has been on the periphery at Paradise for quite some time, having never been really fancied by our former manager, Ange Postecoglou. He has spent time out on-loan from the club and has been looking for a way out lately.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder had looked as if he could have an impact at Parkhead when Neil Lennon drafted him into the stumbling side during the 2020/21 campaign. Both he and the recently rejuvenated David Turnbull were given an opportunity and were slight bright sparks during a very rough time for the club and its supporters.
Now FootMercato are reporting that a fee has been thrashed out between the Scottish Premiership Champions and the Ligue 2 club, thought to be in the region of £128,000. It’s a significant hit for the club on a player they sunk a couple of million of pounds into. At this stage, however, the club will just be happy to free up dormant wages to put towards new additions.
Everyone wishes Ismaila all the very best for his new adventure and will thank him for his contribution to the cause during his stay in Glasgow.

Soro had a chance to resurrect his career playing with Panathinaikos FC and also in Europe with them but turned his back on this chance. Poor decisions and not adjusting your game has consequences.
