“I’m honoured to be able to stay at the club and play here,” Kyogo

On Sunday at Tynecastle Kyogo could score his 30th goal of the season and it might even be the winner to secure the Scottish Premiership title for the second successive season under Ange Postecoglou.

And speaking yesterday the hugely popular Japanese striker was talking up his time at Celtic, saying that it an honour for him every time he pulls on the jersey to represent our football club.

“I want to enjoy the games. We still have five games left and we want to enjoy it as much as we did in the past seasons,” Kyogo stated as reported by Glasgow Times. “While I’ve been here at the club, a lot of players have left and a lot of players have come in. I’m honoured to be able to stay at the club and play here,” Kyogo added.

The Celtic striker looked ahead to Sunday’s potential title winning clash at Tynecastle and stated that he wants to enjoy the occasion. “As I said, I want to enjoy this day. I think it’s important not to stick with the idea of winning the titles. We think this is another game in the league. We will prepare and try to win the game,” he said.

While the Japanese striker has been a talisman for Celtic this season with his unbelievable goalscoring achievements he stresses the much of this glory deserves to be shared around his Celtic teammates.

“As I always say, everyone is supporting me to get goals. I just work hard to provide something back for them because they support me all the time.

“Being at this club is an honour already, by scoring the goals I can give something back to the supporters and the club. We always get the win because we are united and work hard for it.”

Will Kyogo get the goal that wins the league on Sunday? It’s very probable but it doesn’t really matter who scores it as long as the three points are secured and the Celtic title party can get underway, with Kyogo leading the celebrations – it has to be said his finishing is so much better than his dancing!
