Celtic’s treble odds shorten after hilarious Rugby Park opening day upset

Remarkably Celtic’s odds for repeating last season’s trophy haul by winning all three domestic trophies has shortened considerably after just one round of matches in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic defeated Ross County (4-2) on the opening day while second favourites for the title, theRangers suffered a 1-0 defeat against Kilmarnock. Those two results seem to have made an immediate impact with Celtic’s odds shortening while the latest Ibrox club has as you might expect drifted in the latest betting.

The latest odds on Betfair for Celtic to win the treble this season is now into 8/1, having been 10/1 before their opening day win at Celtic Park against the Highlanders.

Celtic are current 4/6 favourites to win the Scottish Premiership with theRangers drifting to 11/10.

The betting on the two Glasgow giants winning NO trophies this season’s Celtic at 9/2 outsiders with Mick Beale’s side 8/5 favourites to repeat their empty handed trophy return for another season. However the 8/1 on Celtic winning the treble seems like the most attractive proposition for Celtic minded punters, even of you could have got 10/1 on Saturday morning. I blame theRangers.

On Saturday theRangers ‘welcome’ Livingston to Ibrox while Celtic travel to Pittodrie on Sunday to play Aberdeen. Hearts take on Kilmarnock on Saturday at Tynecastle after both sides secured opening day victories over St Johnstone and theRangers respectively.

Here’s hoping Celtic’s odds are even shorter this time next week!
