Celtic understand the challenges ahead, Dortmund don’t scare Hoops

We’re not daft. We know Bratislava was a comparatively easy start and that tougher games are ahead, but we can go into them with confidence…

The German giants reached the final of the competition last season and although they were hammered 5-1 by Stuttgart yesterday, they will still prove a formidable side.

We are certainly not deluded, like supporters of a certain club tend to be, we know we face a tough task in Europe especially our away games. We were lucky enough to get a decent start and result against Slovan Bratislava, but things will get extremely tougher starting at the Westfalenstadion next week.

What we can do is head into these games with confidence and belief due to our excellent start to the campaign. We are much better prepared and organised than we were at this stage of last season and while anything we get on our travels will be a bonus.

We all want to see the team perform well, and they could well do just that, but we know deep down it will be a tough ask.

About Author

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
