It would be fair to say we weren’t at our best yesterday! One team wanted it more and that was theRangers. They fully deserved their victory so congratulations to them.

There’s not one player you could give pass marks to yesterday, they all looked as if they were suffering from a title celebration hangover in the sun. The fact we started with only one of our regular back four and without our top scorer shouldn’t be overlooked either.

At the end of the day as disappointing as yesterday was, it wasn’t a season defining moment. theRangers hadn’t beat us in the league for nearly two years, and due to the law of averages it was bound to happen sometime. I’m just glad it was yesterday and not when it mattered like the previous three league meetings or the two cup games. Games that actually had something riding on the outcome.

All we learned yesterday was that theRangers can win when the pressure is off and Celtic still need more strength and depth.

At the end of the day theRangers will finish the season empty handed and we are still on course for a record breaking eighth treble. That’s the bigger picture.
