Celtic hero, Chris Sutton, now a co-commentator on Sky Sports, has taken to social media to give his thoughts on Celtic’s victory over Aberdeen earlier today.
Following a tough encounter with Aberdeen at Pittodrie, Celtic emerged victorious, with a scoreline of 3 goals to one. Liel Abada opened the scoring for the Hoops following a VAR to confirm that he was onside. Following an Aberdeen equaliser, a defending blunder from Aberdeen allowed Kyogo through on goal, and he did not disappoint, netting Celtic’s second of the match. Matt O’Riley concluded Celtic’s scoring for the afternoon with a welcomed assist from Yang.
Sky Sports pundit, Chris Sutton complimented both sides and dubbed the game a ‘great advert for the Scottish game’. He also compliments Anthony Ralston’s commitment at the back as well as the quick feet of Yang, which led to O’Riley’s goal. However, although Celtic put on a show for the support, they didn’t look as strong as they did last season. Sutton believes that Celtic needs to introduce more players into the squad to rebuild Celtic’s squad strength.
Great advert for the Scottish game that 👏👏 Aberdeen were brave and got after Celtic but Celtic devastating in the final third. Yang great feet for the O Riley goal. Celtic need a couple of bodies in quickly imo though… Fair play to Anthony Ralston I love his commitment!
