A picture is worth a thousand words – Together for Peace, when it suits…
Celtic take on St Mirren tonight at Celtic Park, in case anyone has forgotten. For our part we’ve yet to publish anything at all on The Celtic Star about tonight’s match with is the final game in the first section of fixtures meaning we’ll have now played every team in the Scottish Premiership this season.
It’s hard to argue with the assessment that the first batch of fixtures with so many tough away games, was tougher on paper than the next eleven matches when we’ll face the likes of theRangers, Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts at Celtic Park.
But enough of this football chat let’s get back to politics in football and fair play to Celtic Curio who made this very valid observation and this photograph…
“This photo was taken for peace in Ukraine when we played St.Mirren in March 2022. This evening no such photo will take place for peace in Palestine,” Celtic Curio states.
Maybe Celtic should reflect on this and actually display the very same banner this evening? No flags just three uncontroversial words that would unite the Celtic support at this divisive time for the club. TOGETHER FOR PEACE because “A picture is worth a thousand words”.
On a lighter note this made me laugh last night…
