Aberdeen 1-3 Celtic – Still a bit shaky, but good result nonetheless

Today’s fixture at Pittodrie was one that was seen as a tough challenge for Brendan Rodgers and his Celtic side when the fixtures were announced.

It certainly didn’t disappoint and the Bhoys had to work extremely hard for the three points. It was one of our most difficult fixtures at this venue in recent years. Celtic got off to the perfect start with Liel Abada tapping us ahead despite a raised flag by the linesman which was correctly overturned by VAR to put us one up.

Our defensive frailties let Aberdeen in to equalise only for their own similar frailties at the other end help Kyogo capitalise to put us back in front. In the end we weathered the Aberdeen storm particularly in the second half when I thought we were far the better side.

The only down side were injuries to CCV and Reo Hatate, let’s hope they aren’t too serious and both will be back in action very soon. It was a well earned three points. The team fought for the result and showed they still have that same commitment they had under Ange Postecoglou.

In summary, it was not the most eye catching performance by Celtic but a winning one nonetheless, and at a very tough venue, one that perhaps theRangers will struggle at when they head to the North East. Anyway, we can’t complain. Six points out of six. On we go…
