‘Aberdeen 3 Celtic 1’ – wishful thinking from Sky Sports after win at Pittodrie

Brendan Rodgers’ side were 3-1 winners up at Pittodrie as the Scottish Champions retained their place at the top of the Cinch Premiership. Goals from Liel Abada, Kyogo and Matt O’Riley secured the three points as Celtic made it two wins out of two against a combative Aberdeen.

As fans waited for the highlights package to be released, especially those of us that were up there, they were to be disappointed by a mistake on Sky Sports’ part. Rather than correctly counting the goals and sticking the scoreline down as ‘Aberdeen 1 Celtic 3’, someone at the broadcasters rushed whether by error or wishful thinking and published a 3-1 win to Barry Robson’s side.

Some supporters reacted, expressing their surprise and poking fun at Sky Sports’ YouTube Admin for their mistake.

This comes a week after Dundee’s draw with Motherwell was dubbed over with English football crowd noise in the highlights package from Sky. It had been hoped that they were starting to take Scottish football seriously once more with the arrival of Chris Sutton from BT. Whilst their coverage at the games is improving, it is the admin around issues like this that are putting fans off.

Anyways, here are the highlights…
