DAVE CORMACK of Aberdeen FC has confirmed that the Scottish Government rejected a bid by the Dons to have 1000 supporters in the ground for this weekend’s game against Celtic. The Chairman took to social media to confirm that a ‘robust’ bid had been rejected as National Clinical Director Professor Jason Leitch claimed that they were satisfied with the bid in place by the Dons.
Taking to Twitter, Cormack said that the SPFL Executives have been told by Professor Leitch that outdoor events were ‘palatable’ but so far there have been no updates regarding when supporters are allowed back.
Cormack makes an extremely valuable point, fans have been waiting for the go-ahead and so far there have been a number of false dawns for supporters. 300 Aberdeen fans have taken in a game as have 300 Ross County supporters but the other ten teams in the league have yet to even host a test event, which is bewildering when you think of some of the things that have been allowed to happen recently.
Celtic have been at the forefront of trying to install new technologies and they need to perceiver with their requests for test events.
