Aberdeen v Celtic: Predicted XI with one enforced change, Idah on bench

Celtic face Aberdeen this afternoon in the Cinch Premiership as Brendan Rodgers looks to kickstart his team’s second half of the season. The Scottish Champions were less than convincing in their 1-0 win against Ross County last weekend and now face a tough challenge at Pittodrie.

New signing Adam Idah is expected to be
involved having trained on Friday. The Irish Internationalist was Celtic’s only other addition after Nicolas Kuhn arrived from Rapid Vienna. Meanwhile, David Turnbull and Mikey Johnston were deadline day departures from Celtic.

Cameron Carter-Vickers is a doubt with reports suggesting that he missed training on Friday. The USA Internationalist is said to have picked up a knock that meant that Gustaf Lagerbielke’s move to Lecce fell through. Hopefully it is nothing serious for the former Tottenham central defender.

Greg Taylor is also still absent, meaning that Alexandro Bernabei will likely start at left back after the club failed to bring in another option.

In goals, Joe Hart will start.

In defence, expect Maik Nawrocki to partner Liam Scales with Bernabei and Alistair Johnston in the full back berths.

In midfield, it will be the unchanged trio of Callum McGregor, Paolo Bernardo and Matt O’Riley.

In attack, Kyogo will start through the middle and he will be supported by Luis Palma and Liel Abada.

Predicted XI: Hart; Bernabei, Scales, Nawrocki, Johnston; McGregor, O’Riley, Bernardo; Palma, Kyogo, Abada.
