The return of the Green Brigade, as indicated earlier today on The Celtic Star is very welcome news…
The Green Brigade will make a long awaited return to the North Curve for Saturday’s clash with Livingston, and it should be welcomed by everyone within the Celtic family.
The North Curve and Celtic have reached an agreement that allows both parties to put aside the dispute that has caused so much friction and disharmony within the Celtic support so regardless of which side you were on in the controversy both the Green Brigade and the Celtic Board have settled their differences so that we can all now move on united and concentrate on backing the team to secure a league and Scottish Cup double.
Whatever anyone thinks of the Green Brigade, no-one can argue that they generate a fantastic atmosphere on match days, something that has notably been missing during their absence.
Celtic Park hasn’t been the same since they were banished, but it should return to normality this Saturday afternoon. It was during the first half last weekend when Hearts fans were chanting ‘Is this a Library?’ Well one thing is for sure, Paradise won’t be mistaken for a library on Saturday or indeed a week later when theRangers come calling.

This evening’s news lifts some of the dark clouds that are hanging over the club presently. Not all of them, but this is a huge step in the right direction. A cynic might suggest it’s a clever PR move by the board amid all the flak they are currently receiving, but if they hadn’t sanctioned an agreement with the Green Brigade they’d be getting criticised for keeping the ultras out and the atmosphere flat.
It will be interesting to see what they have planned for Saturday, watch this space…
