Like many of you reading this article, I love Celtic Football Club. Not only do I love Celtic and all that is associated with the club, but I really enjoy the sport of football itself. There is nothing better than “watching Glasgow Celtic putting on the style” to paraphrase an old song.

I’ve had my say on the players, Manager and board recently, and seen all the arguments between fans on Twitter. It’s all been quite miserable and deflating. No doubt these issues are important and need to be tackled, but I needed a break from it.

That brings me on to tonight. I’m past looking for turning points or imagining a scenario whereby a decent European performance can act as a springboard for the team to go on an incredible domestic run. I just want to see an enjoyable game of football. Celtic have been dire to watch this season, leaky in defence and turgid in attack. I’ve thought about formations, players and every other solution which makes no difference as I don’t pick the team.

With that in mind, it would be nice, in this dead rubber, to see the players put on a performance and entertain. I would like to see the likes of Turnbull and Soro get some game time, or even a youth prospect to excite us. But whoever Lennon selects, all I ask for is an enjoyable spectacle for a change. Then the stress over winning games can continue at the weekend!

COYBIG!
