Ange explains brilliant Kyogo ‘Nice Moment’ from Motherwell

The Celtic players all went over to the celetrating support at Fir park on Wednesday night after the comprehensive 4-0 win in the League Cup quarter-final but after appause and appreciation was given for the wonderful backing that they always receive, the players started to make their way towards the tunnel before the Celtic support were ready for the victory dance.

With the timing being slightly out of cync, either the players came over earlier than usual or the fans were squeezing another song in first, but the arms were out awaing the vicotry dance with only Ange Postcoglou still walking towards the away end at Fir Park.

Faced with dancing himself, a prospect the Celtic manager didn’t much fancy, he turned and grabbed Kyogo, the nearest player to him, and sent him on a solo mission to dance in celebration for the support. And what a lovely moment that was, Kyogo’s relief and finally scoring after a wee barren spell when nothing was going in no matter how hard he tried and his joy shared by every single Celtic support was apparent. A priceless moment and one created by Ange Postecoglou although perhaps only to save his own modesty in the dancing department, which is clearly not his thing. Kyogo loves it though so all is well.

Yesterday Ange explained what exactly happened at his media conference ahead of today’s match against Hearts at Tynecastle.

“The only reason I did it is that the fans were crying out for someone to celebrate with them. It was either him or me!”Ange said.

“I definitely was not going to do it, so I pushed him over.

“The fans want to show their appreciation for the players, and if guys are not scoring or going through a hard time, I still think the fans appreciate them.

“Sometimes players are shy about receiving this praise from the fans. There is nothing wrong with it.

“Our supporters will stick with the players through thick and thin, they have shown that in the past. Sometimes they will get frustrated at performances, but they see the effort Kyogo puts in. It was a nice moment.”
