“Astonishing and depressing comments here,” Sky Sports man hits out at McCoist

Someone should ask Ally what laws he intends to breach. After all isn’t theRangers still pretending their motto is ‘everyone anyone’?…

Ally McCoist today spoke of his bemusement of the new controversial hate crime legislation that was put in place as from yesterday. McCoist stated on Talksport that he along with 48,000 others will all be at risk of breaching these new laws during Sunday afternoon’s Glasgow Derby.

Bizarrely nobody thought to ask Ally which laws he intended on breaching. Since the much criticised hate bill covers hatred aimed towards disability, religion, sexual orientation, age, transgender identity and variations in sex characteristics, then it must be one of these groups that he intends offending. No prizes for guessing which one.

I think we can all take a wild guess at what Ally intends to indulge in, a bit of good old fashioned bigotry and sectarianism. Despite the cheeky chappie image Ally is fond of a wee ditty now and again when it comes to offending those of Roman Catholic faith.

He was brought up in an era when it was rife and acceptable at Rangers RIP after all. But surely such behaviour is not only deemed unacceptable under the new laws, but also under the Rangers Everyone Anyone motto?

Whatever your thoughts on the new bill, I’m sure we can all agree that we can get on with our lives without the need to indulge in hatred towards any of the groups covered under the new legislation. And we can all listen to their songs of hatred on Sunday then check how many arrests will follow follow…

  1. Stop being so damn hypocritical! WHO amongst us will be any different for the duration of the game, whether we watch it at the pigery or not?

In any decent society those comments today would end his media career however we know he will be lauded for them.
When the media fail to highlight this issue, when politicians fail to highlight these comments then they are part of Scotland’s shame.
For forty eight hours, after the George Square riot, there was a lot of hand wringing and promises of change but nothing has changed.
The politicians have slid back under their rocks and will say nothing in an election year.
The media: well they are part of the problem. They stoke hate and revel in the aftermath of what they create when they should be castigated for their limitless drivel and exaggerated headlines.
    Shame on all of them.

  3. And as of yet no condemnation in the media in Brigadoon!! What a cespit of hatred they revel in! Let’s see what happens with Mr ‘ cheeky chappie” Not much I reckon and that says it all about their weirdo twisted mindset all through society in Brigadoon! Just ” banter” eh ally! A Disgrace!

    • Media has to chase this up top tv pundit has admitted he will commit unlawful act but will be doing media work he knows its all over in the scotland especially the west as he knows usual banter among the clan will see you charged Hugh dallas would have a criminal record yes he was made to go but was promised top eufa job that wont happen know can only be good taken responsibility for those acts are criminalised ally your world has gone as you know it

  4. Absolute pathetic McCoist should resign or be sacked. SUGGESTING that he will participate in a hate crime at football match. Some how he and the rangers support can’t control their hatred towards all things Celtic. Maybe we should close Ibrox down

    • Why is this even news?
Sevco being hypocrites and McCoist being a biggot are nothing new.
McCoist was always among the worst sectarian scum even in his playing days. He seems to get a pass for being pally on occasion with an ex Celtic player, at least for the cameras.
Sevco have been hypocrites and a cesspool of proddy victimhood everyday since their formation in 2012.

ITS NOW 2024 AND WE STILL HEAR THE SAME OLD SHIT COMING FROM WEE SLEEKIT ALLY, HE WONT BE SHOUTING HIS BILE IN PUBLIC BUT HE HAS INSTIGATED THE HOARDS TO DO HIS BIDDING FOR HIM , I ONLY HOPE OUR GUYS WISE UP TO THIS H H

  6. Much less concerned about Sally’s well known loyalties and bias in favour of them than I am about the appointment of cheatin Beaton as match referee. Are our board so niaive that they think he will referee the match in a fair and even way. Or will it be left to Brendan to question his decisions again post match. Surely its time for our bigwigs to speak up and bring Beaton and the corrupt SFA to book. Anything other than a win could potentially cost our club millions in European money and thats not to mention the millions spent by fans in bets theyve placed on our team. It seems our board are quite happy to play Russian Roulette with our club. Otherwuse why else would they remain silent.
