Celtic defender Auston Trusty has been named in the USMNT squad for their forthcoming fixtures; however, there is no place for teammate Cameron Carter-Vickers in the games against Canada and New Zealand.
Mikey Varas has named his team with Maurico Pochettino expected to be confirmed as new boss imminently. Trusty has been included in a USA camp for the first time in over a year, which will excite him greatly.

For CCV, it is likely that the player isn’t being risked after being pictured with an injury after the win over Rangers. The 26-year-old was incredible as Brendan Rodgers’ side swatted aside the visitors from Ibrox, combining with Liam Scales to nullify Dessers. Irishman Scales put in a terrific display and he will be conscious that the arrival of Trusty could threaten his place in the team.
Carter-Vickers left Celtic Park yesterday with a moon boot on, sparking fears that he was injured. It is believed he injured his toe and that may account for his absence from the National Team.
Trusty will be keen to get himself sharp so that he can return to Paradise during on all cylinders to take the place from Liam Scales and partner CCV in the Celtic backline.
