Baník Ostrava 2 Celtic 4: Ange & Taylor review the match

Celtic continued their pre-season preparations with a 4-2 win over Banik Ostrava in the Czech Republic. Despite falling behind to a goal from Eldar Sehic, Kyogo and Matt O’Riley put Celtic ahead at the break. Giorgos Giakoumakis’ terrific overhead kick gave Celtic a 3-1 lead but they really should have been out of sight with a number of chances. Banik pulled one back as the hosts threatened to get back involved. However, Liel Abada followed up after Giakoumakis was denied in a one-v-one.

The manager said that he is looking forward to get back to Paradise after the raucous atmosphere as the home side enjoyed their centenary with the visit of The Scottish Champions.

Greg Taylor spoke to Celtic TV after the game and enjoyed the match with a view to getting ready for the season kicking off at the end of this month.

Celtic return back to Glasgow ahead of Saturday’s game against Blackburn Rovers. The friendly match will improve Ange’s team in their pre-season preparations while getting minutes under the belt. The league season kicks off on the 31st of July at home against Aberdeen.
