BAYERN MUNICH are set to complete the signings of Celtic youngster Barry Hepburn and club target Aaron Hickey on three year deals.

According to Caught Offside, a source close to the players says that the deals will be completed today as the pair swap Scotland for Bavaria. The three year deals will see them become the third Scottish youngsters to join the Allianz Arena side as they look to continue their progress abroad.

Hepburn, 16, will join Liam Morrison who left Celtic last summer for the club. Former Celtic Head of Recruitment David Moss has been the man behind the deals and it is no surprise that the highly rated pair will follow Morrison to Germany.

It’s unlikely that the amount will be significant, so Celtic’s best hope will be a large chunk of any future fee.As with most youth signings it will take years to assess how much this will hurt Celtic, but he’s clearly a highly rated talent. He’s a regular at youth level for club and country, and he’s touted as a pacey winger who can play either side.

Meanwhile Hickey departs Hearts for £1.5m, which will seal a sell-on fee to Neil Lennon’s side. The Glasgow Live cited Celtic as being interested in signing Hickey as an alternative for Greg Taylor at left back. Although it appears that a Paradise return is out of the question now he edges closer to a move to the German champions.

Bayern offered the players VIP Tours of their training facilities and stadium in order to fend off any late interest in the players.
