BBC Journalist warns clubs will not get any money until final standings are confirmed

Admittedly nobody had any real faith that Neil Doncaster and his crew would manage to resolve this flawlessly, but they’ve managed to exceed expectations yet again.

Somehow we find ourselves in a position where Dundee have been given all the power, and the longer it goes on the more embarrassing it is for our game.

The Rangers have gone into overdrive with releasing club statements, and the silence from the league is just leaving things open for the criticism to get stronger.

There is a credible argument that certain clubs are acting in self interest – you can understand that clubs in the relegation zone won’t vote to go down, but there are some hiding behind the pretence of “sporting integrity” as a way of trying to expunge another rotten season from their history books.

The main issue here is that a lot of teams need money to get by, but seemingly some are hoping to get that money without agreeing on how to end the season either.

Unfortunately for them, that will not be allowed to happen:

Hopefully we see a conclusion to this soon, but it’s a good thing that payments won’t be made without finalising things, as that could turn this into an even bigger farce.
