Fabrizio Romano is one of the most respected football transfer gurus in Europe. With that in mind, it was disappointing to read that he expects Josip Juranovic to leave Celtic this summer due to a number of suitors from the English Premier League expressing an interest in the player. However, the Sky Sports transfer journalist has now tweeted more uplifting news with a post which claims that the Bhoys have told Benfica of their intention to trigger the buy option clause to sign Jota on a permanent deal in the next few days.

The deal is thought to be worth €7.5m and Romano also mentions that Jota will need to conclude contract details with Celtic, despite claims from the Scottish mainstream media that personal terms have already been agreed.
