The Celtic Trust have been at the forefront of supporter communications with the club. One of the issues this season has been the matter of added value, which Celtic promised at the beginning of the campaign. Having paid out full price for season tickets, many Celtic supporters want to be compensated for being unable to attend matches, feeling that the streaming service doesn’t represent circa £600 worth of investment.
In a recent meeting between the club and the Trust, Celtic said that they were looking in to redressing this matter. In response, Celtic Trust suggested that season ticket holders be issued with shares. Such a revolutionary idea would also assist the organisation’s cause as they could then pull those resources together to give the supporters a meaningful say in the running of the club.
The Bhoys ultras group have now thrown their support behind the notion. In a social media post uploaded by the Trust, the Bhoys said:
“Bhoys Celtic are fully behind the Celtic Trust’s recent proposal for the club to issue season ticket holders with shares.
We call on the wider support to give it their backing and engage with this opportunity to increase the influence of the people who will always have Celtic’s best interests at heart – the supporters.
