As reported yesterday, Celtic’s transfer priority is a left back, whilst Lennon is keen to strengthen his central defence as well as the right wing position. Greg Taylor is the only option at the club and Bakker could potentially go straight into the team – owing to his attacking credentials. The 20-year-old made five appearances for PSG as they won the French Treble but didn’t appear in the Champions League final, where they lost to Bayern Munich.
The Dutch wingback joined from Ajax and has International caps for the Netherlands right up to their U19 squad. The talented youngster, who was nominated for the Golden Boy award, can also play in the centre of defence.
