Two Celtic Supporters were in MIIKO at lunchtime today, one being none other than Liam Kelly from The Celtic Star. And the Celtic connections didn’t end there in this popular eatery situated at 33 Salterns Road, Poole.

Enjoying his lunch was the former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.

“Just seen Eddie Howe in a cafe in Poole, my mate was going onto him about Celtic being the best club in the world. Obviously he wouldn’t say any details to a random nutter off the street but don’t think there’s any way he will be announced today if he’s here rather than in Glasgow,” Liam tweeted.

Liam’s mate asked Howe if he was coming to Celtic. Eddie gave him a big smile and said “We’ll see”…

Celtic briefed the fan media this morning ahead of the season ticket announcement, I specifically asked them to provide an update on the manager situation and was told that the appointment was “imminent”.

Before anyone starts about seeing Mourinho in Starbucks on Byres Road etc, Liam lives in Poole and is a well respected member of our team, he has written numerous Celtic books, is involved with a podcast and even trained at Bournemouth as a youth player under Howe. He is NOT trying to be sensationalist, or claim this as any kind of exclusive story, as you can see by his tweet below. Had we heard this from someone we didn’t know well we wouldn’t have shared it on here. Make of this what you will.

Neither Celtic nor Eddie Howe denied the same question asked today,  one said it was ‘Imminent’ while the other gave a big smile and said ‘We’ll see”.
