Abraham Lincoln is famously attributed as saying: “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time”. Well Abe was wrong, as here in Glasgow we know that to be false, except in this instance it’s not the people being fooled, it’s the peepul.

They could open a Burger King inside Grayskull and it still wouldn’t sell as many whoppers as the hierarchy at Ibrox. Yesterday was no exception as incoming Chief Executive James Bisgrove proved when he served them up an XXXL double whopper meal and is was gobbled up as expected by the deluded hungry Ibrox supporters.
His speech about theRangers being the dominant force in Scottish football for 150 years was inaccurate to say the least. It was humorous all the same as all and sundry knows that they are only 11 years old and in that time have won less major trophies than St Johnstone.
He’s of course throwing the former club into the equation, and admittedly they did win plenty of trophies in their 140 year but most of the ‘dominance’ that Bisgrove was referring to existed in the era before coloured television.
Celtic were the dominate side in the 1960s 70s and 80s. The now liquidated Rangers of course had a spell in the 90s when they were the dominant side thanks to David Murray’s EBTs an dodgy millions, but that soon vanished as Celtic picked up the mantle in the new century and have been the dominant side ever since.
James is talking nonsense of course he is, he knows it, we know it, but the peepul don’t, and that is his reason for stating such baloney. They are the most manipulated set of football supporters on the planet and James is just using the playbook set aside from his predecessors.
Most dominant side in Scottish football history? Of course that’s a lie, but they do excel when it comes to having the most deluded supporters. They will forever dominate when it comes to that.

Can’t see how a 12yr old team who won a dead rubber game against half a team of trialists, 3-0 aren’t the “dominant ” force in their country. If by “dominant” you mean looking up and dreaming !
