NEIL LENNON reckons that debut striker Bayo has every reason to be delighted after netting twice against Hearts after making his starting debut for Celtic eight months after arriving at the club.

The Celtic manager told BBC Sportsound: “It was a bit of a slow burner for him to start with but once he got up to speed, he was excellent.

“Good strength, and that’s his forte, getting across defenders.

“He was in there for the first goal against a superb centre-half and the second goal was a great goal, great switch of play and a great finish.

“He’ll be delighted with his debut, we all are.”

The Celtic manager voiced his frustration at Willie Collum awarding Hearts a penalty late in the game but was pleased with his side’s awesome second half performance.

“We played some super stuff second half.

“I’m really disappointed with the penalty. If anything it’s a foul on Christopher Jullien before the ball breaks through Sean Clare.

“So really disappointed with that decision that went against us but, apart from that, my overriding emotion is one of pride and absolute delight with the way the players are playing.”

Craig Levein was frustrated after the game saying his side shot himself in the foot and claimed that both of Bayo’s goals were own goals.

Classic Superscoreboard comment to Levein’s comments, Hugh Keevins said that Levein was ‘talking a load of nonsense’ before the host pointed out that Keevins hadn’t even seen the goals!
