Celtic are in the Arctic Circle ahead of tonight’s game against Bodø/Glimt in the second leg of the Europa Conference League Play Off. Celtic face a tough challenge as they look to reverse the two-goal deficit. Ange Postecoglou’s side were well beaten by the Norwegian Champions as the visitors to Celtic Park made sure that the Premiership league leaders couldn’t find their flow. The visitors exploited Celtic’s weaknesses down the left-hand side for two goals whilst the third came from a wicked deflection.

Daizen Maeda’s goal could give Celtic the added incentive to go out on the attack given that the away goals rule has been scrapped. Celtic need two clear goals to force the game to extra time.

Team News

There are no fresh injury concerns following the win over Dundee at the weekend. Celtic had to battle to seal the three points and open up a greater lead at the top of league. Giorgos Giakoumakis struck a hat trick and you would imagine that the manager has to start him in Norway. The question then turns to who supports him, Jota, Maeda, Abada or Forrest. The manager went with Jota and Maeda at the weekend and you would think that they would be included again as Celtic chase a win.

Soro and Ideguchi are not in the European squad. The hamstring trio of Kyogo, David Turnbull and Albian Ajeti all remain sidelined.

Predicted XI: Hart; Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; McGregor, Rogic, Hatate; Maeda, Giakoumakis, Jota.

Kick-Off Time

The game will kick off at 17:45 (Celtic Park time).
