We can’t hang around waiting all summer for an Adam Idah decision. We need a striker and Bojan Miovski could still be our man...

Adam Idah wrote himself into Celtic folklore in his short spell at the club after scoring vital goals that helped us clinch the title, as well as scoring the goal that won the Scottish Cup.

It’s only natural that the majority of supporters want him signed up permanently, as he’s shown that he has great potential to become a superb player for the club.

Brendan Rodgers is also keen to snap him up, but with Johannes Hoff Thorup taking over the reins at Norwich City, he wants to run the rule over his squad including Adam before any decision is made on the Republic of Ireland internationals future.

Naturally that will take a bit of time, more than a few weeks, and unfortunately we can’t stand still waiting to see what the outcome will be.

It’s imperative we have another striker on board as we head into a gruelling pre-season which includes a trip to the United States.

So in my opinion we should now consider make a move for Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski. The North Macedonian is a superb striker and plays in a similar style as Adam. He’s big, he’s strong, he can hold the ball up, and knows his way to goal.

Miovski has the potential to be a superb player for Celtic. He has all the makings of a Celtic striker. He knows our football, and he’s proven on the European stage.

We may need to stump up something in the region of £5 to 6 million to land the Dons man, but it would prove to be a bargain in the long run. He unsurprisingly has many suiters, he’s a top player and one we should be looking to bring to Celtic.

And Celtic stepping up interest in Miovski may just force Norwich City’s hand.
