LEIGH GRIFFITHS has been named in the Scotland squad for the games versus Serbia, Slovakia and Israel. The 30-year-old hitman has returned to Celtic action with goals against St Johnstone and Aberdeen and now Steve Clarke has decided to select him for the play-off final versus the Serbs.

Other Celts included are Callum McGregor, Greg Taylor and Ryan Christie. There is no space for Scott Bain, despite his return to the Celtic starting XI but his former teammate Craig Gordon makes the squad, justifying to the 37-year-old his decision to leave the Scottish Champions in the summer.

Griffiths scored two incredible free kicks for Scotland versus England and he will be hoping of more memorable moments when the Tartan Army face the Serbian side with a place at Euro 2020(21) at stake.

The partnership of Dykes and Griffiths could complement the system that Clarke has tried to play, almost a 3-5-2 with Andy Robertson on the left hand side. Kieran Tierney will likely play as a left sided central defender as Clarke looks to accommodate his best players for the biggest game in years.
