That Friday feeling got even better seeing Celtic’s Big Strong Man Cameron Carter-Vickers is back in training…

It’s Friday, the most enjoyable day of the working week, well it is if you have the luxury of the weekend off.

Anyway for those of us who do, that Friday feeling went up a notch or two when pictures of our Big Strong Man taking part in a training session went viral online this afternoon and that was before we got the news through that Reo Hatate had put pen to paper on a new five-year contract with Celtic!

Yes he’s back and although he won’t be ready until after the international break, it’s good to see all the same. The Big Man is just about there but he won’t be rushed. The very fact that he’s fit enough to be put through his paces is music to the ears of the Celtic support.

Although Liam Scales and Gustav Lagerbielke have done exceptionally well in his absence, having the Big Man back will do wonders for our defence, especially with so many tough games ahead in both the Scottish Premiership and of course the Champions League.

CCV is the best centre back at the club and indeed in the country. No-one comes close. We need him back as soon as possible so seeing him on the training field is indeed fantastic news. Then Leo signed his new deal. What a day it’s been! Happy Friday everyone!

Just an Ordinary Bhoy

Meanwhile Thursday 19 October is going to be a very special day for The Celtic Star so please save the date…

John Hartson will be The Celtic Star’s guest of honour as we celebrate the launch of Matt Corr’s new book Majic, Stan and the King of Japan on Thursday 19th October at the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park. More information on the night and ticket details to follow…. Majic, Stan and the King of Japan tells the story of Gordon Strachan’s first dramatic and ultimately highly successful first season as Celtic manager and it was of course Big Bad John who scored the goal that won the league!
