Cameron Carter-Vickers has been named in the SPFL Team of the Week after a goalscoring debut for Celtic on Saturday. The USA International joined on a loan-to-buy deal on deadline day and started alongside Carl Starfelt at the back. However, it was the other end that CCV made his mark, striking a shot from range that deflected and looped over Ross Laidlaw in the County nets.

The player was awarded the Man of the Match accolade, despite Ajeti scoring twice, as the 23-year-old was rewarded for an assured performance at the back.

Carter-Vickers, who is on a loan with an option to buy from Tottenham, will be hoping to get himself first team football and earn a permanent move to Celtic. The central defender will be hoping to start against Real Betis on Thursday night as Ange Postecoglou’s side kick off their Europa League campaign. The pathway that Celtic offers a player like CCV is unrivalled, he can play for trophies, compete in Europe, play in front of 60,000 fans and really kick on after a few loan spells at Spurs.
