DUNDEE FC last night confirmed that Steven

has parted company with the club.

The centre half signed a 18 month deal with Dundee 6 months ago but he has had his disagreements with manager Neil McCann and has found himself watching games from the stand at the start of the season.

The Dundee statement stated: “Dundee Football Club can confirm that Steven Caulker has this evening parted company with the club.

“Steven has triggered a release clause in his contract to leave before the end of the transfer window in search of a new challenge.

“We would like to thank Steven for his efforts whilst at club and wish him all the best for the future.”

That transfer clause means that the experienced central defender Caulker, who has a close relationship with Brendan Rodgers, is now able to sign a deal with a club outside of the transfer window.
