Former Celtic prospect Ben Doak, who left for Liverpool earlier this year, has been named on a list of the Top 20 English Premier League talents to look out for. Jurgen Klopp’s side snapped up the talent with a view to progressing him up to their first team eventually.

As outlined by The Guardian’s Next Generation list, Doak has been named on the prestigious list as he looks to make his mark in English football.

The 16-year-old was handed his debut by Ange Postecoglou but when it became apparent that he was flirting with a move away, he returned to the B Team. Despite his age, he was recently called up to Scotland’s U21 side and scored after just seven minutes against N Ireland.

Doak is joined on the list with players like Arsenal’s Saka and Man Utd’s Sancho. Although, the player has a long way to go before he can be considered a first-team player. Whilst Doak is highly rated, he is yet to make inroads into the first team picture beyond what he achieved in his short spell with Celtic’s first team.

Good luck to the player and hopefully he is able to realise his potential.
