Celtic and Stoke City have reached an agreement for the transfer of 21 year old Irish midfielder Bosun Lawal. Stoke will pay Celtic £2m plus add-ons for the former Watford star who has agreed a three year contract at the Championship club.
Stoke City have scheduled a medical this afternoon for Celtic midfield Bosun Lawal after Celtic accepted a bid of £2m plus add-ons for the player who impressed last season on loan at Fleetwood and made just two senior appearances for Celtic.
It’s expected that the 21 year old will complete the switch over the weekend in a £2Million move which could eventually reach around £3Million from the add ons included in the deal. Stoke have agreed a three year deal with the Irish Under 21 international star who will now be competing in the English Championship against Rocco Vata who left Celtic last month to sign for Watford.

Mark Hendry at Football Scotland broke the latest transfer story involving Celtic offloading players his summer. Since the January window closed Celtic have sold Liel Abada (£8M), Oh (£4.5m) and now Bosun Lawall (£2m). There’s a £300k development fee from Watford regarding Vata and there may well be a financial gain in offloading Sead Hakšabanović to Allsvenskan club Malmö FF.
Other players are expected to leave the club ahead of the window closing at the end of the month.
Bosun Lawal and Lewis Koumas have both arrived this morning for medicals.
