Celtic have confirmed the signing of Nicolas Kuhn from Rapid Vienna. The Scottish Champions have sealed their first signing of the January window and the highly-rated German attacker will come to bolster Brendan Rodgers’ options in the second half of the season.

As confirmed by the club, the 24-year-old joins on a five and a half year deal as he takes the No.10 shirt.

The club have been tracking Kuhn for some time and given his talent has resulted in spells at RB Leipzig, Ajax and Bayern Munich. Now, the former German U21 International will look to showcase his talent at Celtic, living up to the hype of his youth.

Wyscout listed Kuhn as one of Europe’s top chance creators given his performances in the Austrian Bundesliga. Now, Kuhn will look to compete with Luis Palma, Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda for the two starting roles under Rodgers.

Now, Celtic will likely turn their attentions towards signing a left-back and a striker. Rodgers is keen to get both positions strengthened to increase the competition in the squad.
