Talk of conceding the league already is ludicrous…

We are in the midst of a mini ‘crisis’ yes I know we’re top of the table (for now) but with our well documented problems with those in charge and our usual standards slipping on the field you could say it is.

It’s a long way off the cracked crests on the front and back pages, but something is not right at the club at the moment, and you don’t need to be a genius to work it out.

That said, talk of throwing in the towel regarding the league title is ludicrous talk. It’s a defeatist attitude and one that we don’t want lingering over the Celtic supporters.

Social media is awash with such a defeatist attitude. Amazingly some of our supporters have already conceded the title.

I doubt the players, despite their recent showings have given up, far from it. Players like Captain Callum McGregor and Joe Hart have the experience and know how to win titles, and that should stand us in good stead.

Brendan Rodgers has also been around the block and knows what’s expected, so we still have great hope, and most importantly a more than decent chance of successfully defending our title.

At worst we could be behind on goal difference come next week, and there’s still a few twists and turns to come yet. We also have two Derby games to negotiate in the coming months.

We have a title challenge that’s not in doubt, but as for giving up? Don’t talk nonsense. Get behind the team and embrace the challenge. It will be a long bumpy ride, but one we are still well capable of coming through unscathed as Champions.
