Celtic’s Liel Abada has reacted to the news that he will be out for three-four months with a thigh injury. Brendan Rodgers confirmed that the attacker had picked up the injury whilst on international duty and would require to see a specialist.
Reacting to the news, the 21-year-old said that he would be beginning his rehab shortly with a view to returning in the best possible condition. Despite this news meaning he will miss the UEFA Champions League groups, Abada will hope his return can help the club achieve targets in the second half of the season.

Since arriving from Maccabi Petah Tikva in the summer of 2021, Abada has played 106 times for Celtic, scoring 29 times and assisting on 21 occasions. The youngster recently penned a new long-term deal with the club as he looks to kick on under the management of Brendan Rodgers.
This move will place a degree of stress upon the squad but there will likely be sufficient cover for domestic challenges in the meantime. However, it may provide the manager with a headache when deciding upon the teams for UCL games.
Hopefully Abada can make a swift recovery and return to his best form as quickly as possible.
