Celtic clear up Odin Thiago Holm mystery with Friday update

Celtic appear to have cleared up the mystery surrounding Odin Thiago Holm’s absence from the squad photo. The 21-year-old wasn’t present in the picture released earlier today but, in an update this afternoon, Holm was pictured hard at work as Celtic prepare to face Aberdeen.

In pictures shared on Twitter/X, Holm has been involved as Brendan Rodgers’ first teM training for the top of the table clash.

There had been some confusion after Holm was posted missing in the Celtic squad photo for the 2024/25 season. Brendan Rodgers’ team lined up to pose in front of the Scottish Cup and the Premiership Trophy but the Norwegian was not present. It led to some supporters speculating that he was quite literally out the picture at Celtic.

It probably makes it more bizarre that the player has been involved in training but omitted from the photo, especially given the fact that a number of youth players have been included. The club have shown in the past that they will superimpose a player that’s unable to take part in the photo into the squad.
