Celtic have released a strongly worded statement via Twitter to condemn the utterly despicable footage that appears to depict some Rangers supporters en-route to Dingwall racially abusing Celtic’s latest hero, Kyogo Furuhashi. The 26-year-old has six goals in seven games since arriving from Vissel Kobe this summer but clearly his success has triggered bigotry from some small-minded individuals.
Unfortunately, a number of Celtic players in recent years have suffered similar racist abuse.
As a club open to all, we stand firmly against racism in all its forms and we will give Kyogo our full support.
All stakeholders must work together in tackling all forms of bigotry.

Furuhashi has been outstanding since arriving and long may that continue. This abuse has showcased the worst of society and we must condemn it and hope that more can be done to eradicate unacceptable behaviour like that in the future. We can only expect Rangers and other clubs to follow suit by condemning this video while allowing the Police to investigate and take action against those that appear in the video.
Celtic will be able to put a marker down and show that this kind of abuse won’t stop Ange Postecoglou free-scoring side on Sunday at Ibrox.
hail hail the celtic and roll on next sunday 29-8-2021 against the zombies.
Are we surprised? About 5000 of them used George square as toilet and a boxing ring while teaching the world various sectarian and racist songs and chants and how many were identified and arrested? Maybe 100.Hopefully today’s shower will all be identified and prosecuted.
celtic fc, come on the hoops.
thats why this rancid mob are detested by the majority of decent supporters everywhere and you can be sure KARMA will get every single one of them eventually
Pure evil! Sort them out on Sunday – that is where it will hurt! But if you have been brought up to believe that Roman Catholics are evil, it is hardly surprising to find this! But oh, how 1967, the 7-1 and the two times we did 9 in a row must hurt them!
