Celtic confirm £8.5m signing of Adam Idah

Celtic have confirmed the signing of Adam Idah from Norwich City. The 23-year-old signs a five-year deal, which seals a permanent return to Paradise.

Idah made it clear that he wanted to make the return to Celtic but still showed professionalism with Norwich until a deal was done. The Ireland Internationalist clearly loved his time in Scotland and wanted to make the return to Paradise.

Celtic managed to get the breakthrough with Norwich after tabling a bid of £8.5m for the player that included a 15% sell-on as well as a £1m add-on.

Idah impressed during his loan after joining in the winter transfer window, scoring 9 goals and assisting twice in 19 appearances. The excellent campaign culminated in the centre forward striking in the 90th minute to beat Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final.

The Scottish Champions have been chasing the striker for the entirety of the window but a deal appeared to be dragged out due to a number of factors. Now, thankfully, Celtic have got the deal over the line and the No.9 will go into the squad that prepares to face Hibs on Sunday.
