Celtic confirm Yang appeal, Hampden the place for tennis ball protest

Celtic to appeal red card issued to Hyunjun Yang…

Celtic this afternoon confirmed that the club will be appealing the straight red card shown to Hyunjun Yang at Tynecastle yesterday afternoon.

Referee Don Robertson’s on-field decision was a yellow card for high feet but after being called to the VAR monitor by Rangers supporter John Beaton (how is that even allowed?) the yellow was rescinded and replaced by a straight red card. A ridiculous decision from this pair of clowns but not even the worst one in a match that it looked like Celtic were never going to be allowed to win.

Published on the official Celtic website, the Celtic statement reads as follows:

“Celtic Football Club can confirm that it will be appealing the red card issued to Hyunjun Yang during Sunday’s match against Hearts at Tynecastle.

“We have also written to the SFA to raise our serious concerns regarding the use of VAR and the decisions made within the match.

“As we have said before, for some time Celtic has sought to work with the footballing authorities with the aim of improving standards associated with refereeing and the use of VAR in Scotland, something which is clearly in the wider interests of everyone within the game.”

If Celtic can beat Livingston at Celtic Park this Sunday in the Scottish Cup quarter final that will give is a chance to go into the Scottish FA’s own stadium at Hampden and look at a protest against the Beaton, Dallas and the rest of the pro-Rangers mob who officiate our games.

Anyone for tennis? Balls to all that…

  1. To the Editor ——Instead of ” Blowing your own trumpet” and attempting to display your “Literary prowess” on a daily basis . Try , at least , reading the comments which genuine Celtic supporters write , with all sincerity , in a hope that their assessments will be acknowledged by other Celtic fans and the Columnists of this Forum .
The forlorn hope of Celtic fans who make these comments , is that , some of their wisdom and genuine assessment of Celtic’s weaknesses can be highlighted to the wider Celtic audience ; but , if not so , at least to the Editor and columnists of this outlet .
You write this article as though you are immensely proud that the Celtic Board are ” Calling-out” Criminal Bigotry in the Scottish game . Celtic’s Board , in their attempt to derive justice from the , ” Hall of Bigots ” is so weak and pathetic that they would have been as well starting the letter :- ” We are sorry to bother you but ” . Nothing changed at Tynecastle on Sunday . Every Celtic fan and their Granny knew who the Referee was and also who was on VAR . The Celtic Board know that under SFA articles , they face suspension from Scottish Professional Football if they openly criticise the Bigots who run Scottish Football .
This letter is nothing more than a pathetic attempt , by the Celtic’s Board , to placate elements within the Celtic support .
As I have stated before—-It’s now time for me to blow my trumpet . The only way Celtic will get justice in Scotland is for Celtic supporter Associations to raise funding and make these “Scoundrels” face justice in the Scottish Courts . What happened at Tynecastle on Sunday was no co-incidence . All the actions of the Officials was pre-ordained and so obvious , that no Celtic supporter Should be be surprised by what emerged during the game . What should surprise them is that even a 10 man Celtic team , should have been capable of beating a Hearts team who were less than ordinary . The difference was :- The Hearts players were , “Playing for the Jersey ” and some Celtic players were not . Maybe that should concern us more than Letters to the SFA .
Please go into your Archives and read comments which I made on this very same subject on :- 19th. Dec. 2023 and 20th.February 2024 These might give you an insight into how the Celtic support feel about their team under the Stewardship of Brendan Rodgers & Co.
