Celtic to appeal red card issued to Hyunjun Yang…

Celtic this afternoon confirmed that the club will be appealing the straight red card shown to Hyunjun Yang at Tynecastle yesterday afternoon.

Referee Don Robertson’s on-field decision was a yellow card for high feet but after being called to the VAR monitor by Rangers supporter John Beaton (how is that even allowed?) the yellow was rescinded and replaced by a straight red card. A ridiculous decision from this pair of clowns but not even the worst one in a match that it looked like Celtic were never going to be allowed to win.

Published on the official Celtic website, the Celtic statement reads as follows:

“Celtic Football Club can confirm that it will be appealing the red card issued to Hyunjun Yang during Sunday’s match against Hearts at Tynecastle.

“We have also written to the SFA to raise our serious concerns regarding the use of VAR and the decisions made within the match.

“As we have said before, for some time Celtic has sought to work with the footballing authorities with the aim of improving standards associated with refereeing and the use of VAR in Scotland, something which is clearly in the wider interests of everyone within the game.”

If Celtic can beat Livingston at Celtic Park this Sunday in the Scottish Cup quarter final that will give is a chance to go into the Scottish FA’s own stadium at Hampden and look at a protest against the Beaton, Dallas and the rest of the pro-Rangers mob who officiate our games.

Anyone for tennis? Balls to all that…
