Christopher Jullien will be available for selection in Saturday’s Glasgow Derby against Rangers after missing the win over Hamilton on Boxing Day. Neil Lennon confirmed that the French defender would be in contention to play Dundee United on Wednesday afternoon meaning that he would be fit for a return to the Starting XI when Lennon takes his side to Ibrox.

Neil Lennon told the Media Conference that the defender was looking to play a part in the game versus United tomorrow at 3pm tomorrow.

“Jullien is fit, available and in contention. We are playing a good side tomorrow. They’ve got good strikers. I think it’ll be a really good game and then another big game at the weekend.”

Meanwhile, Rangers midfield duo Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield remain major doubts for the game at the weekend after Rangers assistant told Sky Sports that the pair were struggling for fitness ahead of the clash at Ibrox at the weekend. This is a major boost for Celtic that two mainstays in the Rangers team will not be fit for the game.

Tomorrow’s games against Celtic will be the best indication as to who will start Saturday’s must-win game against Rangers. Lennon’s side are currently 16 points behind the Premiership leaders but have three games in hand and a win would start to turn the tide back in Celtic’s favour.

The game will also see a minute of silence for former Dundee United manager Jim McLean.
