Celtic fans barely had time to digest the announcement that Cameron Carter-Vickers was joining the club, before the transfer window closed at midnight this morning. That deal was the 13th that Celtic got over the line, whilst 19 players have headed for the exit since the end of last season.
There has certainly been a massive overhaul at the club, the detail of which is listed below:

Kenny, Elyounoussi, Laxalt, Duffy (all end of loans); Brown, Ntcham (both released); O’Connor, Doohan, Robertson, Afolabi, Griffiths (loaned out); Klimala, Hjelde, Shved, Hendry, Bayo, Christie, Ajer, Edouard (sold).
Arrivals:
Carter-Vickers, Jota (both loaned in with option to buy); McCarthy (free transfer); Hart, Urhoghide, Shaw, Scales, Lawal, Juranovic, Furuhashi, Giakoumakis, Abada, Starfelt (purchased).
After emerging from one of the busiest windows in recent Celtic history, and considering the youth product who has stepped up to the first team (Montgomery), I pondered on the question: ‘As the transfer window slams shut, do Celtic now have a stronger squad than they did at the end of last season?’
To find the answer, I used the unscientific method of launching a flash Twitter poll for those of us who had stayed up late in the hope of a surprise signing. The results were quite compelling as from 133 respondents, over 77% of Celtic fans felt that we have entered September in a stronger position than we found ourselves in May.
Hopefully that perceived improvement translates to the field of play in the near future.
