CELTIC were the first club out of the hat at this afternoon’s Scottish Cup Final draw at Pittodrie.

Brendan Rodgers will be delighted to get a home tie as his side look to move one step closer to securing back to back trebles.

In the other quarter final ties, Aberdeen are at home to Kilmarnock, Hearts will travel to Fir Park to face Motherwell and Falkirk will be the visitors at Ibrox.

The ties will be played on the weekend of 3 and 4 March with two ties to be selected for live broadcasting.

The home draw means that Celtic don’t have to leave Glasgow in order to defend the Scottish Cup. With a reasonably comfortable lead in the league, the back to back treble doesn’t seem too unrealistic a prospect.

Morton though did record a win in the League Cup against Celtic a few years ago so nothing will be taken for granted.
