Celtic goalkeeping target Koen Casteels has decided to move to Saudi Arabia, according to transfer speculation from Belgium. The newly-promoted Al-Qadsiah have reportedly offered the player a lucrative package which means that the Scottish Champions will require to look elsewhere to replace Joe Hart.

According to a report by Belgian outlet HLN, Celtic and Anderlecht look to have missed out on Casteels signature.

Earlier this month, The Daily Mail reported that Celtic were interested in bringing Casteels to Paradise.

After 274 appearances for Wolfsburg, Casteels sealed an emotional farewell last week. Although, given his status as a Belgian Internationalist and the lack of transfer fee, a number of clubs will be keeping tabs on the goalkeeper.

Celtic have been linked with Aro Muric from Burnley, Alex McCarthy from Southampton and Ugurcan Cakir from Trabzonspor. The theme appears to be that the club are targeting a goalkeeper with experience. Joe Hart bowed out after an emotional fortnight winning the League title and the Scottish Cup. Not only was the Englishman quality on the pitch but he was quality off of it, providing leadership and really buying into the club.
