Rift between Green Brigade and the club is not ideal, but it won’t get us down…
The rift between the Celtic Board and the Green Brigade has been a major talking point over the last few weeks and with the latest developments that we reported on yesterday it adds further fuel to a fire that should never have been lit in the first place.
In my personal opinion the board are out of line with their treatment of the affected supporters in the North Curve. We all know the real reason for their bullish attitude and in my opinion it’s not for the reasons that they claim.
But many other supporters do not side with the Green Brigade in this and have accepted the club’s position as per the email to all season ticket holders earlier this week.
With no Green Brigade and now no Bhoys at the game tomorrow the onus is on everyone else to create the noise and cheer on the team. There are another fifty odd thousand of us attending home games so the absence of the missing Ultras won’t dampen our good spirits and we will support the team loud and proud, against Aberdeen tomorrow afternoon and beyond, as we always do.
And the supporters backing the club and not the Green Brigade in this row, I am sure that they will all feel exactly the same.
You can be sure outside influences such as the mainstream media will be wanting to make the most of it and try to unsettle us, but we must not let them, for god sakes don’t give them the satisfaction or even the clicks.
Things are looking good despite what it may seem. Yeah sure we suffered a painful blow in Madrid, but we are still the Champions after all. We are eight points clear at the top of the table and look good for three in a row but we must not allow this row to get in the way of the team picking up the three points in each game as we strive towards retaining our title.
So is Celtic in the midst of a crisis? Not really, there’s a disagreement but both parties have now said that they are willing to meet and look for a resolution.
Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later, this coming week would be preferable and then everyone will know where they stand, what is acceptable and what is not and we can all get back to watching Glasgow Celtic putting on a show…
The last statement from the Green Brigade shows the level on entitlement they think they have. They think they have power but they have none, just as many fans could not care less about them as the ones that do. Celtic is a Football Club were we go to watch Football and rejoice.
People stuck in the past and still stirring up crap from the 70’s and 80s move on. There’s still that element of they do it so we’ll do it.
Back to the last GB statement this is not a game of tennis and correspondence from Celtic to the Support not the GB, the Club are being open and the Support deserve to know. I have no interest on the nonsense that the GB have to say they have more chances that they deserved and they keep on abusing them.
They need to remember there is an extensive waiting list, people come to watch Celtic, they will not win and the thing is like everything will be forgotten about as time pasts by.
For every good they do they make two wrongs
Well, you’ve toned down you GB bootlicking since massively misreading the room with your previous articles backing them, only to be kicked from pillar to post by fellow celtic fans who are sick and tired of the Green Brigade.
The board are 100% correct to keep these odious little ideological neds the hell away from Celtic Park, and maybe people like you, who fawn over them, had better realise you are very much in the minority. In the 80s they were simply called hooligans. Giving these immature troublemakers the catchier title of “Ultras” doesn’t change what they are. Fucking idiots.
Their “statements”, bloated by their own self importance and entitlement, show them up for what they are and that is alt left crackpot with a healthy dollop of marxism and a not so subtle stink of antisemitism. The dregs.
Keep them and their extremists views, tarnishing the clubs reputation, away from celtic. We’ve had enough of being embarrassed by these clowns who deem themselves the “voice and soul” of celtic.
