Celtic have been dealt with an injury concern after Alistair Johnston was forced off before the half hour mark in Canada’s win over USA. Jesse Marsch’s side faced their neighbours in an exhibition match in Kansas City.
The Celtic fullback started the game on the back of an impressive start to the season and was his useful forceful self in the game; however, he was forced from the field with an injury. Fortunately, the 25-year-old was able to walk off the field and it’s being reported that he wasn’t in significant pain.
SBI Soccer’s Managing Editor, who covered Celtic’s trip to the States for The Celtic Star, took to Twitter to report on the issue.
Worrying moment for Canada as #CelticFC's Alistair Johnston is subbed off before the half hour mark.

Didn't look too bad. Maybe more of a precaution than anything, but still he's had a great season so far

Henry says that it could just be a precaution with Marsch and the player unlikely to be willing to risk aggravating a minor issue during the course of a friendly.
It is one to watch as Johnston is an important part of the team that Brendan has been building for the Champions League, which kicks off later this month.
