Celtic have announced that they are launching an online website specifically for our Japanese fans. Celtic have always kept close links with the Asian market throughout the years with Shunsuke Nakamura, Koki Mizuno and Ki Sung-yueng amongst the players that have come from that side of the world to wear the Hooped jersey.

Our latest instalment from Japan, Kyogo Furuhashi, is certainly setting the world alight with some spectacular displays of football so far this season under Ange Postecoglou. Kyogo arrived from Andres Iniesta’s Vissel Kobe in the J-League for around £4.5 million and is looking every bit the steal so far. So it is only natural that there should be interest in Celtic FC from the East.

Our manager himself managed in that part of the world, so more signings from there could be an avenue we explore moving forward with Brexit also taking effect. Daizen Maeda and Reo Hetate are widely rumoured to be ready to sign on the dotted line for the Angeball revolution come 1 January. It will be interesting to see how those stories develop over the coming weeks ahead.

Meanwhile, Celtic got Kyogo and one of his other Three Amigos to help launch this new website. The player in question is Portuguese starlet, Jota. Jota and Kyogo seem to have hit it off both on and off the field of play, linking up excellently in the attacking third since being played together consistently and all smiles and laughs away from the football pitch.

They were their usual jovial selves at the launching of our new Japanese website and can be seen laughing and smiling throughout the video. Hopefully this helps expand Celtic’s brand in parts of the football universe that maybe aren’t as strong as others. With Kyogo at the helm, it’s guaranteed their will be plenty of interest from his homeland considering his vast array of talents.
